ARMENIA TO TAKE PART AS OBSERVER IN SEA BREEZE-2007 SEA EXERCISES
YEREVAN, JANUARY 31, NOYAN TAPAN. Armenia willl join the
Ukrainian-American "Sea Breeze-2007" sea exercises started in Odessa
on January 30 at the main stage of planning, on March 13-15, during
what the participants will discuss and agree the goal and theme of the
future manoeuvres, structure and organization of the forces and
detachments being involved in the exercises. And during the final
planning to take place on May 15-17, the conference participants
envisage to hold observation of the "Shirokiy Lan" experimental
battlefield of the region (oblast) of Nikolayev and moorage front of
the Odessa port.
It is envisaged to work out joint actions of multinational detachments
and raise the forces' level of mutual compatibility directed to
keeping peace and anti-terrorism actions. By the way, the role of the
Black Sea and Caspian Sea states during joint actions of securing sea
safety and keeping peace is attached importance.
According to the information of the RA Defence Ministry's Press
Service, the Armenian side will participate in all the stages of the
Sea Breeze-2007 sea exercises in an observer's status.
