ARMENIA CAN NOT IMPEDE AZERBAIJAN'S WTO ACCESSION, DEPUTY FOREIGN MINISTER SAYS

In 2003 when Armenia was admitted to the World Trade Organization
Armenia's acting foreign minister Vardan Oskanyan sent a letter to the
WTO's secretariat at the request of Azerbaijan and support of some
other countries. The letter said very clearly that Armenia will not
interfere with Azerbaijan's accession to the World Trade Organization;
Deputy Foreign Minister Mahmud Mammadguliyev briefed journalists,
APA reports.
Mr.Mammadguliyev ruled out any trade relations between Azerbaijan and
Armenia after Azerbaijan's accession to WTO until the Nagorno Karabakh
conflict will be solved, "Azerbaijan will not cooperate with Armenia
in any project as well as in trade sphere untll Armenia pulls out
its troops from the occupied territories of Azerbaijan", he added. He
underlined that it is possible according to the WTO's terms.
