Armenian Writers' Union president Levon Ananian met this week with
journalists to present the work done by the union in helping young
writers to enter the literature world.

When Ananian was elected the president of the Writers' Union in 201,
the youngest Armenian writer was 40 years old, and this fact gave birth
to a project that would help young writers get into the literature
world. A publication called Gretert was initiated.

In addition, there is a special section where meetings are held every
Friday and books are presented. For the past 4 years, a series of
books called "Mutk" (Entry) comes out, and works by young writers of
    age 18-30 are published.

Ananian says the young writers' topic is very diverse today.

"There is today's realities, and young writers are trying to reflect
their memories of childhood which are not very rich," Ananian says.

Referring to a gathering of about 35 young writers from Armenia and
Artsakh held in Tsakhkadzor several weeks ago, Ananian said that
there is an environment in Armenia where the young get together,
create and have all the chances to be published.
