AZERI SIDE UPSET BY RTR COVERAGE OF THE ELECTIONS IN NKR

The report of the Russian second TV Channel on the presidential
elections in Nagorno Karabakh caused the dissatisfaction of Azerbaijan.
President of the National Council of TV and Radio Broadcasting of
Azerbaijan Nushiravan Maharramli told Day.az that "the coverage of
the so-called elections in the separatist republic of "NKR" by the
Russian second channel, which claims continuation of broadcasting in
Azerbaijan, is regretful." "We shall express our discontent to the
Russian side in this regard," he noted.
"July 23 the Russian delegation will arrive in Baku to negotiate
the broadcasting of RTR in Azerbaijan. During the meeting we shall
present our dissatisfaction with this kind of reports," Maharramli
said. He noted that the Azerbaijani side insists on inclusion of a
point about the mutual respect for territorial integrity of Azerbaijan
and Russia, which excludes the opportunity of presenting reports about
the self-declared rebuilds, presenting them as independent states."
