AZERBAIJANI MINISTER OF FINANCE MET THE HEAD OF CITIGROUP FOR EUROPE

Minister of Finance of Azerbaijan Samir Sharifov received the Chief
Executive Director of Citigroup for Europe, Middle East and Africa
William Mills in Baku.
During the meeting, they discussed the prospects for the development of
Azerbaijan's relations with Citigroup, including the first emissions
of Eurobonds, as well as the further extension of the activities of
Citigroup in Azerbaijan.
In 2005-2006, Citigroup consulted Azerbaijan for receiving the second
credit rating from Moody's Investors Service. Citigroup was chosen
to be the Manager of Azerbaijan for placement of the first emission
of Eurobonds on international financial markets in September-October.
