    OSCE MONITORING TOOK PLACE WITHOUT INCIDENTS

    Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend V.Mammadov / Monitoring was held
    on the line of contact of troops near the village of Mezemli near
    Azerbaijan's Gazakh district on 24 July in compliance with a mandate
    from the special representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office. The
    monitoring was carried out without incident.

    Jaslan Nurtazin and Peter Key, field assistants to the OSCE
    Chairman-in-Office's special envoy, Andrzej Kasprzyk, were in charge
    of monitoring on the Azerbaijani side of the frontline

    Imre Palatinus and Antal Hedriks, field assistants to the OSCE
    Chairman-in-Office's special envoy carried out the monitoring on the
    Armenian side of the frontline in territory internationally recognized
    as Azerbaijani territory.

    Over the recent period, the Armenian armed forces intensively fired
    at the Gazakh positions of Azerbaijan National Army.
