"WEST SUPPORTS KARABAKH CLAN"

People from Karabakh will remain in their posts until Azerbaijan
becomes NATO member state. As soon as Azerbaijan becomes NATO
member state, the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict will be settled in
favor of Azerbaijan. Afterward, everyone who is of Karabakh origin
will be relieved from his post and Raffi Hovhannisian will come to
power. Armenia will not have an alternative then and will also become
the member of NATO.
These are the prediction of Hmayak Hovhannisyan, Head of Politicians'
Union, about the future of RA. He ensured that the head of "Heritage"
party Raffi Hovhannisian was not ignorant of this scenario. The
most essential factor of the scenario is that Azerbaijan will get
disappointed in Russia and will rely on international organizations,
particularly, on NATO.
Hmayak Hovhannisyan, also talked about the opposition leaders, who
collected only 2-3 percent votes during the parliamentary elections
and talked about putting forward their candidatures during the
presidential elections.
Mr Hovhannisyan said that the opposition faces the problem of Levon
Ter-Petrosyan's return. His return to political field may be justified
by the fact the latter had nothing in common with the negative
developments in the country during the last 10 years. According
to Mr Hovhannissyan, Ter-Petrosyan had a number of advantages and
inspired alternative expectations. When he was the head, there was
no splitting in the country and Artsakh was an inviolable conception
for the people having power, while today "talking against the people
from Karabakh is a necessity in the society".
Hmayak Hovhannisyan was not sure that Ter-Petrosyan wanted to return
since "I do not see that people miss the "Armenian Pan-National
Movement" party, which was felt during Karen Demirchyan's possible
return to the political field".
Hmayak Hovhannisyan does not consider that Arthur Baghdasaryan, Leader
of "Orinats Yerkir" party had much chance to become a president. "If
Serge Sargsyan gets tired and decides to give place to "Orinats Yerkir"
party, then Baghdasaryan will have more chances. Maximum Baghdasaryan
may pass the second stage and will have to get ready for the next
parliamentary elections".
The surprise of presidential elections will be not in the opposition
field but in the government field: only one political party will
nominate Serge Saragsyan as an alternative candidate.
