CONSTRUCTION DONE IN ARMENIA IN JANUARY-APRIL 2007 DECLINES BY 4.2% ON SAME MONTHS OF LAST YEAR

YEREVAN, JUNE 5, NOYAN TAPAN. In January-April 2007, construction work
of 55 bln 215 mln drams (about 157.7 mln USD) was done in Armenia,
including construction of production facilities of 27 bln 935 mln
drams. In this amount of work, building and assembly work made 45
bln 531 mln drams, including building and assembly work of production
facilities of 23 bln 190 mln drams.
According to the RA National Statistical Service, the constuction
work in January-April 2007 declined by 4.2% on the same period of 2006.
26.8% of construction in the first four months of 2007 was done at
the expense of the population, 73.2% - with funds of the state budget
and various organizations.
