SIDES HAVE NEVER BEEN SO CLOSE TO RESOLUTION OF NAGORNO-KARABAKH CONFLICT AS NOW - OSCE CHAIRMAN-IN-OFFICE

Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend A.Ismayilova / Migel Ankhel Moratinos,
the OSCE chairman-in-office and the Spanish foreign minister, stated
to news conference in Baku on 4 June that that there is a favorable
milestone to resolve the [Armenian-Azerbaijani] Nagorno-Karabakh
conflict and the sides have never been so close to the resolution of
the conflict as now.
The OSCE Minsk Group is involved in the peaceable resolution of this
lingering conflict.
Moratinos noted that the OSCE wishes the conflict to be settled with
the consideration of the sides' interests.
He voiced his hope that to see in Yerevan on 5 June such will for
the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict which he felt in
Azerbaijan.
The oSCE chairman-in-office noted that many sides, including the OSCE
and international community, are interested in the resolution of the
conflict. "OSCE will try to see real step in this direction during
the forthcoming meeting of the Armenian and Azerbaijani Presidents
in St. Petersburg on 10 June. However, the final resolution depends
on conflict sides," Moratinos stressed.
