CATHOLICOS OF ALL ARMENIANS KAREKIN II WISHES SUCCESS TO NATIONAL ASSEMBLY

YEREVAN, JUNE 8, NOYAN TAPAN. At the first session of the RA National
Assembly of the 4th convocation on June 7, Catholicos of All Armenians
Karekin II delivered a speech of welcome and congratulation to
deputies of the newly elected parliament, NT was informed from the
press service of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. In his speech,
His Holiness in particular said:
"Since the re-establishment of independent statehood, the National
Assembly has made an important contribution to state building and made
laws for the implementation of reforms in our country, improvement of
spiritual and economic life, and scientific, educational and cultural
progress. Dear deputies, you are called upon to serve our Fatherland
and people in a period of time when our people has a closer vision of
powerful and prosperous Fatherland, secure and happy life. No less
effort and devotion are needed on this path. You shall continue the
mission of the National Assembly with success.
I wish you, dear deputies, courageous service and fruitful activities
so that you and the Armenian people will enjoy the friuts of your
efforts.
"I wish you success, as well as progress - to the activities of the
National Assembly."
