Strasburg Mayor Responds to Questions Regarding Armenian Exhibition
France, Strasburg / corr. Trend E.Mejidly / The Head of the Strasburg
Municipality of France, Fabienne Keller, said on 8 June that the
Strasburg Municipality is always ready to support the promotion of
various cultures.
Keller was speaking in response to the question regarding the
exhibition organized by the Armenian diasporas in the Strasburg
Municipality. The Nakchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan was
represented as the historical territory of Armenia. The Mayor said
that her municipality does not interfere in the conflicts between
other countries. `Each event held in the municipality takes a
cultural form. The representatives of each nation residing in
Strasburg may hold cultural events by passing several procedures,'
Keller said.
Keller spelled out that the rights of foreigners residing in
Strasburg are followed. `Our goal is to attract huge foreign
capital,' she said.
Speaking of the wide opportunities presented to foreign students,
Keller said that foreigners who receive their education in Strasburg
receive scholarships from various organizations.
