THE CATHOLICOSATE OF CILICIA PARTICIPATES IN THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
MEETING OF WORLD STUDENT CHRISTIAN FEDERATION
The Executive Committee of the World Student Christian Federation (WSCF)
convened in the headquarters of the Evangelical Church in Alexandria, Cairo
on June 1-9. Miss Carla Khijoyan from the Armenian Church University
Students' Association (ACUSA) participated in the meeting as a member of the
committee and the representative of the Middle East.
The Executive Committee includes 18 members from six continents and
convenes once a year to discuss the work of this important ecumenical
organization.
Participants discussed the organization's activities in several regions
and paid special attention to the preparatory work of the General Assembly
to be held in Canada in August 2008.
In the context of discussions on the situation in the Middle East, Ms.
Khijoyan talked about the challenges the youth of the Armenian Church faces.
