CATHOLICOS OFF ALL ARMENIANS MET REPRESENTATIVES OF ETHNIC MINORITIES

On June 15 Catholicos Garegin II met with the representatives of
the ethnic minorities and Sergo Yeritsyan, adviser to president on
education, culture, ethnic minorities and religion, the information
center of the Holy See reported.
The representatives of the Russian, Assyrian, Jewish, Yezidi, Kurdish,
Ukrainian, Byelorussian, Polish, Georgian and Greek communities were
present in the meeting.
The patriarch endorsed this meeting and thanked for the kind and
positive pronunciations about the Armenian nation and the native
country. His Holiness appreciated the caring attitude and approach
of the government towards the ethnic minorities, the message holds.
You have every possibility to preserve your national traditions,
language, culture and values, and be proud citizens of this
country. With your presence you are like bridges, ambassadors of your
peoples, you are a bridge of friendship which strengthens brotherhood
and love, His Holiness said, asking them to preserve that ethnic
identity and make their contribution to the welfare of Armenia as
loyal citizens.
