    SOME 90,000 PEOPLE TO VOTE IN PRESIDENTIAL POLLS IN NAGORNYY KARABAKH

    [Presenter] The Central Electoral Commission of Nagornyy Karabakh has
    registered all five candidates for presidency. The people running
    for president are the head of the NKR [Nagornyy Karabakh republic]
    National Security Service, Bako Sahakyan, [Karabakh] MP Armen Abgaryan,
    Professor of the Artsakh State University Vanya Avanesyan, [NKR]
    Deputy Foreign Minister Masis Mailyan, and leader of the Communist
    Party [of the NKR] Hrant Melkumyan.

    All candidates, except Hrant Melkumyan, were nominated on civil
    initiative.

    The election campaign will begin on 20 June. The chairman of the
    CEC of Artsakh [NKR], Sergey Nasibyan, has said that 275 election
    constituencies have already been formed on the territory of the
    NKR and one in Yerevan, at the permanent representative office of
    Artsakh. The number of people eligible to vote is about 90,000.
