RA DEFENSE MINISTER PARTICIPATED IN THE SITTING OF THE EURO-ATLANTIC PARTNERSHIP COUNCIL

Armenian Defense Minister Michael Harutyunyan participated in the
annual sitting of the Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council held in
Brussels.
During a short preceding the sitting NATO Secretary General Jaap
de Hoop Scheffer congratulated Michael Harutyunyan on assuming
eh Defense Minister's office. The parties exchanged views on the
security processes on Euro-Atlantic territory, Defense Minister's
Press Secretary, Colonel Seyran Shahsuvaryan informs.
In his speech Mr. Harutyunyan reconfirmed the willingness of the
Armenian Government to expand its participation in peacekeeping
missions.
The same day the Armenian Defense Minister held bilateral negotiations
with the Defense Minister of Greece Meymarakis and the Defense Minister
of the Czech Republic Mrs. Parkanova.
