INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF DENTISTS STARTS IN YEREVAN

YEREVAN, JUNE 26, NOYAN TAPAN. An international conference of dentists
is being held in Yerevan on the initiative of the Armenian Dentists'
Association and specialists, who have arrived from eight countries,
are taking part in this conference. Ashot Gevorgian, the Chairman of
the association, mentioned at the opening ceremony of the conference
on June 25 that issues concerning innovations applied in that sphere
will be discussed during the conference.
In his words, there are over 3000 dentists working in the
republic. "There is almost no problem of qualified specialists:
problems of this respect can exist only in remote regions," Ashot
Gevorgian said.
It was also mentioned that the association has signed a contract with
Maynts University, according to which Armenian specialists receive
additional training there.
