PALACE OF ADVOCATES HOLDS ITS GENERAL ASSEMBLY
The Armenian Advocates Palace held its regular general assembly early
today. Some 382 advocates were registered out of 651 and the
registration continued when the meeting started. The advocates
approved the report of advocate's palace board for the period of
November 2005 to February 2007. The report of public protector's
office head was also approved.
The chairman of the advocates palace, Ruben Sahakyan, mentioned that
the achievements in the short period indicate that `time for
correcting errors have come.' The advocates thanked international and
local institutions for the support to the palace.
The assembly also nominated candidates for the post of advocates'
palace board. Some 34 were nominated and one resigned. Another 25 were
nominated as member of disciplinary committee.
