YEREVAN, MARCH 22, NOYAN TAPAN. By the March 22 of the Armenian
government, all organizations conducting prize games by totalizators
must register at the tax body their computers used for organizing
such games. Deputy Head of the RA State Tax Service Armen Alaverdian
told reporters after the governmental sitting that each computer
will receive a number and the company must pay a fixed payment of 50
thousand drams (about 138 USD) a year for it. Conducting prize games
with an unregistered computer will be considered illegal activity
and a fine of 1 mln drams for a computer will be imposed. According
to A. Alaverdian, this decision will allow tax bodies to eliminate
the use of unregistered computers. It was noted that there are now
4 such organizations in the country, which registered 305 computers
and paid 15.2 mln drams in January, and 346 computers and 16.3 mln
drams in February.
