BORIS GRIZLOV ELECTED CSTO PA PRESIDENT

Speaker of the Russian State Duma Boris Grizlov was elected President
of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty
Organization (CSTO). Grizlov has been carrying out the duties of the
organization's President ever since its establishment in November 2006.
The first sitting of the Parliamentary Assembly was held in Saint
Petersburg today. Parliamentarians from all seven member states -
Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and
Uzbekistan - participated in the sitting.
