THE ARMENIAN WEIGHTLIFTING TEAM IS A SERIOUS RIVAL TO ANYONE

The weightlifting team of Armenia is very strong and can be a serious
rival for any team. Secretary General of RA Weightlifting Federation
Pashik Alaverdyan told Armenpress that 10 years ago Armenian sportsmen
performed well at the World Championship, which was also held in the
Chingmay city of Thailand.
According to him, the victory of the Armenian team in the European
Championship in Strasbourg evidences that great attention will be
paid to Armenian weightlifters. Sportsmen from Russia, China, Iran
and Thailand will become serious rivals for the Armenian team in the
World Championship to be held in September in Chingmay. In Pashik
Alaverdyan's words, this tournament is very important for achieving
permits to participate to the Olympic Games in Beijing.
