ILHAM ALIYEV AGAIN THREATENS ARMENIA WITH WAR

"Armenians should liberate our lands voluntarily, if they do not want
to see our army," President Ilham Aliyev said today, while addressing
refugees in the Ramany district, the Turan news agency reports.

Armenian observers can't understand what the Azeri President's
aggressive loquacity is caused by. It is not clear whether I.Aliyev
has got inspired with the tactless attitude of the US Department of
State towards the Karabakh conflict, or with the purchase of military
equipment, or with the crowd listening to him. According to Armenian
analysts, Aliyev has evidently forgotten that his audience consists
of people who have been forced by the Azeri authoirites to live in
campgrounds despite the "economic growth of the country".

The Azeri leader's speech was not original, but a little bit aggressive
and illogic. "In the past Azerbaijan has bought a large quantity of
heavy military equipment and armor. The military balance is now in
our favor and we will continue buying armaments. Our defense budget
is equal to Armenia's state budget and our military expenses will
continue to grow," said Aliyev. "Our army is able to liberate occupied
lands by force. Armenians should liberate our lands voluntarily, if
they do not want to see our army." threatened Aliyev. He said that
talks on peaceful conflict settlement started over 10 years ago.

Azerbaijan will not hold talks forever. "How long can we wait and
tolerate the occupation of our own territories? We are able to
liberate these lands," said Aliyev and mentioned that the world
community recognizes Azerbaijan's territorial integrity. He called
confirmation of the fact that Armenia has occupied Nagorno Karabakh and
seven regions around it "a diplomatic victory." The world community
recognizes Azerbaijan's right to these lands. "Shusha residents live
rather well in Baku, but they must prepare to return to Karabakh. We
will liberate these lands without fail," concluded Ilham Aliyev.
