THE ARMENIAN REVOLUTIONARY PARTY WAS LEFT OUT FROM THE GOVERNMENT WITH MORE MANDATES

"Armenian Revolutionary Party" will not form a coalition with the
Armenian Republican party for the simple reason that the picture,
created in the result of the elections, allows the "Armenian Republican
Party" to form a lonely government and to undertook commitments
lonely. ""Armenian Revolutionary Party" will not be a symbolic part
of the government",- announced Armen Rustamyan.
Besides, up to this moment nothing was said about forming a coalition,
although "Armenian Revolutionary Party" has gathered more votes during
these parliamentary elections than during the previous elections. Armen
Rustamyan, member of the Supreme Body of the "Armenian Revolutionary
Party" considers that the 180 thousand votes that were given to them
were a realized political choice and thanks their voters. "We estimate
these elections as a gradual increase of the "Armenian Revolutionary
party's" reputation.
By the way, considering the 12 May elections as a progress,
democratic, on the way of conducting elections in compliance with
the international standards, and acknowledging the primary results
of the elections, the Armenian Revolutionary party also stated that
the way of gathering votes in compulsory or bribing manner was not
excluded. "Certain parties did not stand behind their places in the
electoral committees", - announced Armen Rustamyan.
"Those political parties which sold their places in the committees,
withdrew under pressure or fear, were unable to control the situation
were punished during these elections and they are not in the parliament
today", - announced the member of the "Armenian Revolutionary Party"
bureau Vahan Hovhannisyan.
According to him, the frauders were also punished "in their
places". "The citizen who voted by bribe was also punished during
these elections, and he will still taste the future",- said Vahan
Hovhannisyan. He counted the votes of the opposition parties that
overcame or failed the 5 percent ban and noticed that 30 percent of
votes were given to the opposition.
"The Armenian Revolutionary party" has got records on the fraud cases,
and to our question weather the party was going ? the results of the
elections or to demand the recounting of the results , Armen Rustamyan
answered that the amount of the rigging was not as much as to ? on
the final results. The leaders of the "Armenian Revolutionary Party"
during their speeches raised a number of problems that existed in
our reality today and pointed out their solutions. Today, in case of
forming the picture of political power, will the problems pointed
out by the "Armenian Revolutionry party be deepened or solved? To
our question Armen Rustamyan answered that the problems will not
be deepened, but will not be solved as quickly and productively,
as they would solve them if they were a qualitative majority.
Weather the Armenian Revolutionary party will be a qualitative
opposition, or a governmental ? the question upset the party leaders,
but remained unanswered. In fact , at this moment the Armenian
Revolutionary party is neither an opposition nor a government, and
the cooperation with Robert Kocharyan will continue till 2008.
Let us notice that the Armenian Revolutionary party has spent enough
money during the pro-electoral and electoral period, but the concrete

spent 20 times less", everyone understood that the comparison was
with the Armenian Republican party.
