ARKADY GHOUKASSIAN REAFFIRMS ARTSAKH PEOPLE'S READINESS TO BUILD ITS OWN FUTURE ON BASIS OF DEMOCRATIC VALUES

STEPANAKERT, MAY 21, NOYAN TAPAN. On May 19, NKR President Arkady
Ghoukassian received the delegation of German political, public,
business and journalist circles. As Noyan Tapan was informed from NKR
President's Press Office, the delegation had arrived in Stepanakert
within the framework of the cognitive visit organized with the efforts
of the Union of Artsakh's Friends NGO of NKR NA functioning in Berlin.
Greeting development and deepening of contacts with German
public-political and scientific circles since 2005, A. Ghoukassian
emphasized that thanks to such contacts NKR deprived of various
European tribunes receives a possibility to acquaint the international
public with its past and present. He reaffirmed the readiness of
Artsakh people to build is own future on the basis of democratic values
and expressed the hope that on that way NKR will receive understanding
and assistance of international, including German, community.
In his turn, head of German delegation, Director of Berlin European
Academy, Doctor Ekart Stratenschulte said that contacts with Nagorno
Karabakh ruling, public and business circles have given a possibility
to form an exact idea about country's socio-economic situation. "We
will share our impressions with anothers and henceforth we will
continue working actively in the direction of extending and deepening
contacts with the Nagorno Karabakh side," he affirmed.
