MOST OF AZERIS WANT ARMENIA VERSUS AZERBAIJAN FIXTURES TO BE HELD IN BAKU AND YEREVAN

BAKU, MAY 22, ARMENPRESS: Most of Azeris who are regular visitors to
the DayAz website, said they are in favor of holding Armenia versus
Azerbaijan Euro Cup qualifiers in both countries respectively.
DayAz said about 39 percent of 3,185 visitors, who took part in its
survey, said they would like the games to be played in Yerevan and
Baku respectively.
Twenty-three percent voted for holding them in a third country;
22 percent chose Ukraine and 17 percent Georgia.
Armenia's Football Federation indicated many times it is in favor of
holding both games in Yerevan and Baku respectively, pledging also
full security for Azeris in Yerevan, however, Azerbaijan suggested
that the games be held in a third country.
UEFA will have to make its decision 60 days prior to September 8,
the date of the first match.
