CO-CHAIRS OF OSCE MG ENGAGE ONLY IN TECHNICAL ISSUES: AZERBAIJANI POLITICIAN

Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend E.Huseynly / "The Co-chairs of the
OSCE Minsk Group is engaged only in technical issues with regards to
the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement.
They cannot influence the Presidents or Foreign Ministers of
Azerbaijan and Armenia," said the independent politician, Rasim
Musabeyov, on 24 May at the conference 'Karabakh yesterday, today and
tomorrow'. Musabeyov said that it would be naive to expect any results
from the next visit of the co-chairs to the region. The politician
considered that in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement, the
Government and community of Azerbaijan will make no compromises
which are contrary to the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. "It
became clear as a result of a survey amongst the population that
more than 75% of the Azeri people do not agree with the compromises
in Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement," Musabeyov stressed.
According to the politician, in order to change the situation
in favor of Azerbaijan, economic and military strength should be
demonstrated, which will absolutely positively affect the results of
the negotiations.
The next visit of the Co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group to the region
has already commenced.
