CJSC RUSAL-ARMENAL RAISES OVERALL PRODUCTION 41 TIMES FOR 9 MONTHS OF

ArmInfo. CJSC Rusal-Armenal foil-rolling plant raised overall
production of aluminum foil for 9 months of 2007 as compared to the
same period of 2006 to 8,233 tons, the National Statistical Service
report says. The plant produced also 27 tons of rolled aluminum. Last
year the plant did not produce it. The produce is exported mainly
to Europe, USA and the Middle East. The company explains such high
production growth rates with the complex modernization of the plant
in 2004-2006.
The press release of the United Company RUSAL on the activity for the
nine months of 2007 says that the growth of rolled aluminum production
for the period under review totaled 25.4% - 50,104 metric tons due
to the activation of ArmenAl which will start 25,000 tons annual
capacity production in late 2007.
