TO MAKE THE PROCESS MORE ACTIVE

"I am optimistic that we will be able to move forward with the
Karabakh settlement process in OSCE, under the Chairmanship of
Finland," announced Tarya Halonen, the President of Finland, in
a joint press-conference organized after the meeting with the RA
President Robert Kocharyan who is in Finland on an official visit.
According to her, Finland is thoroughly preparing for taking over
the OSCE Chairmanship next year, and, having been involved in the
settlement processes since the '90s, it is well-aware of the problem,
which is "quite complex and important for the parties".
"We realize the Armenian people's clear interest in that matter, and
I can already say that we will try to make the process more active,"
