PM SERGE SARGSYAN RECEIVED IRAN'S DEFENSE MINISTER

RA Prime Minister Serge Sargsyan today received the Defense Minister
of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Major General Mostafa Mohammad
Najjar. The parties appreciated the Armenian-Iranian high-level
relations, and stressed the importance of the agreements reached
between the Presidents of the two countries directed at further
development of interrelation.
The parties agreed that the multifaceted cooperation between Armenia
and Iran derives from the interests of not only the two countries
but also the region as a whole.
The interlocutors emphasized the importance of ensuring peace,
stability and security in the region, which can be promoted by friendly
relations between neighbor countries. According to the Armenian Prime
Minister, the relations between Armenia and Iran can serve as a good
example from this point of view.
Upon the request of the guest, Serge Sargsyan presented the current
developments in the Karabakh conflict settlement.
