The explanations of the general prosecutor's office representatives
on the disappearance of "Karabakh Committee" case from the archive
of the general prosecutor's office do not fully correspond to each
other. "Starting from December 1, the prosecutor's office will not
carry out investigations and since some archives must be delivered
or accepted, an assignment was given to check the availability of
cases. When it was discovered and the archive reported on the loss,
the general prosecutor assigned to find out under what conditions the
case disappeared, why and on whose instruction," Mnatsakan Sargsyan,
deputy chief prosecutors told a briefing at the government building
today. Meantime, according to the press secretary of the general
prosecutor's office, the disappearance of the case came into light
when one of the newspapers asked to provide them with a copy of the
case. "They coincided," M. Sargsyan answered a reporter's question.

In his words, what happened is a usual thing. "In any office,
documents may be lost," deputy chief prosecutor said. In his words,
a service investigation is under way. "Those who have to do with the
archive will be called for explanation," deputy chief prosecutor said.
