PRELIMINARY INVESTIGATION OF MATAGHIS CASE CLOSE TO END

The Armenian military prosecutor's office announced on the end of
Mataghi Case several days ago. At this time, the 24-volume materials
are handed to the advocate. The defense of the case is carried out
by advocate Haik Alumyan (former defense attorney Zaruhi Postanjyan
is now a deputy of parliament).
Haik Alumyan told Panorama.am that he will study the materials
until December 2 after which the defense party will present its
mediation. According to the advocate, if nothing changes by that time,
the case will be sent to court.
Reminder: three military servants were accused in murder of two other
servants at Mataghis military unit. The appeal court set the accused
military servants free who were sentenced to life sentence by the
review court and the case was sent for additional investigation.
