AREVIK PETROSIAN ELECTED RA NATIONAL ASSEMBLY VICE-SPEAKER

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 12, NOYAN TAPAN. Arevik Petrosian, a member of the
RA National Assembly Bargavach Hayastan (Prosperous Armenia) faction,
the Chairwoman of the NA Standing Committee for Human Rights and Public
Affairs, was elected NA Vice-Speaker at the November 12 NA sitting.
According to Samvel Nikoyan, the Chairman of the Ad Hoc Calculation
Commission, 102 out of 131 MPs took part in the secret ballot. There
were 100 ballot papers in the ballot box, 8 out of which were
invalidated. 13 MPs voted for and 79 against Anahit Bakhshian, 79
MPs for and 13 against Arevik Petrosian.
