"ARMENIAN FOOTBALL FEDERATION DOES NOT BREACH LAWS"

    A1+
    [03:24 pm] 13 November, 2007

"What appeal are you talking about", said Ruben Hayrapetyan, chairman
of the Armenian Football Federation when "A1+" asked about the process
of appeal submitted by the RA Justice Ministry against the AFF.

It should be reminded that on 31 October "Supreme Council" deputies'
club appealed to the RA Justice Ministry "asking to take measures to
prevent the forthcoming unprecedented and rather dangerous violation
of law by the AFF - to use the Federation's property for political
    purposes".

The Federation has decided to dispose the territory of the Federation
to Serge Sargsyan as a pre-election headquarter. According to the
Chairman of the AFF no violation has been carried out. "I declare
that nothing will impede Federation's activities. We have organized
our works very well and will not stop them.

Of course we will dispose the territory and let the court decide
whether we can or cannot do that".

"I ensure that if it was forbidden by the law, Ruben Hayrapetyan being
an NA Deputy would not breach the law. I do this within the frameworks
of the law. These are political speculations. When the headquarters
was in the premises of National Academy, they speculated why it was in
the Academy. Now they are speculating the name of the Federation. Why
don't they think of the most vital things that should be speculated".

The press conference was invited to sum up the results of the
football championship of 2007. In Mr Hayrapetyan's opinion, the 2007
championship was not the best in the history of the Armenian football,
but certain progress was already felt: "If we compare with previous
2-3 years, this championship was of course more interesting and very
important for the development of our football".

"When I became the Chairman of the Federation I announced that
there was no specialist in our country that could head the national
    football team.

Afterwards, we invited foreign specialists; some were good others
were not. I did not want to hurry to invite a new coach. Of course
the team appears in a difficult situation but we will do our best to
play successfully during the upcoming 2 meetings and after this we
will definitely have a qualified coach".
