THE APPRECIATION OF NATIONAL CURRENCY IS "WITHIN REASONABLE BOUNDS," RA PRESIDENT SAYS

Today RA President Robert Kocharyan attended the opening ceremony of
the Armprodexpo" exhibition.
Robert Kocharyan told journalists that "he attends the exhibition
with greater pleasure year by year, since the results of the work
done in the fields of agriculture and processing industry is more
visible here."
The President noted that he got "brilliant impressions" from the
exhibition. In his words, this year the local producers demonstrated
new approaches and new quality. "Our companies ensure high quality
and compete with foreign producers," Mr. Kocharyan said.
Commenting on the appreciation of the national currency, Robert
Kocharyan said the Government had applied to international financial
organizations to assess the appreciation of the Armenian dram, and
the evaluations evidence that "the situation in Armenia is within
reasonable bounds."
"This process is consistent with international trends: there is no
country where there would be no appreciation of the national currency
in case of continuous economic growth," the President said.
