As we know during the previous months Paruyr Hayrikyan was busy
"uniting all the democratic powers to take practical democratic steps."
The author of the initiative didn't exclude that the issue of the
united candidate could have been solved during the meetings in cafe
"Metelitsa". We should remind you that "Orinats Yerkir", "National
Democratic Union", "Armenian Pan National Movement", "Heritage",
"National Unity", "National Democratic Party", "Democratic Path",
and "Marxists Party" took part during the discussions organized by
the initiative of the leader of National Self-Determination Union.
It is evident that the before mentioned political powers over again
failed to unite and create a "united front". Yesterday in "Hayeli"
club leader of National Self-Determination Union disclosed the reason
of the failure of his own initiative.
He reminded that the process of the unification have started long
before the parliamentary elections. But if that time he couldn't
understand the reason of the failure: "this time I can clearly explain
the role of each political powers in the failure of this process. Which
of them is sick with his affectations, which is a low person or simply
an agent." Paruyr Hayrikyan underscored, but still didn't give the
names of the before mentioned.
At the moment it is not very important. The most important thing is,
what will those, who ruined Hayrikyan's initiative and are going
to nominate their candidacy for presidency, do. "It would be better
for them to decide who will be the first to congratulate the united
candidate of the "Republican" and "Bargavach Hayastan" parties,"
leader of National Self-Determination Union advised his partners,
sick with super-affectation.
Hayrikyan said he has no doubt these people are really going to
congratulate the Republican Candidate. Do you need substantiation?
Please: " The world considers the parliamentary elections to be held
properly. Thus if the upcoming presidential elections resemble the
previous parliamentary elections then it will again be considered
as proper. During the parliamentary elections the Republican and
Bargavach Hayastan parties obtained 70% votes. This time they need
only 50%. This means you don't have to be very clever to understand
that the issue of the presidential candidate is already solved."
Anyway Paruyr Hayrikyan disclosed the name of those who played a
great role in the failure of the unification of democratic powers.
"Levon Ter-Petrosyan appeared in the political arena, as he said,
to dismantle the government system. But he started with dismantling
the assembly of the democratic powers. First he took the members
of Armenian Pan National Movement, later Stepan Demirchyan. If
Arthur Baghdasaryan wanted to be a success, he had the opportunity
to display his abilities. What was his problem? What was Raffi
Hovhannisyan's problem, who knew from the beginning that he was
doomed to failure? Those who are guided not by the national goal but
by their personality are low people."
Paruyr Hayrikyan is surprised at L.T.P.'s announcement about working
with the existing parliament. That is to say he has pinned his hopes
upon the rat race. "He said, "I will work with this parliament." Either
he is a fool, or he takes us as fools. He doesn't understand that
to work with the parliament means to work with the majority of the

Reflecting to Levon Ter-Petrosyan's slander saying that Serge Sargsyan
used to be "exiled from Karabakh, leader of National Self-Determination
Union reminded that in the same period of time before 1994 he was
the Commandant of Goris region and he possesses lots of documents
with Serge Sargsyan's signature that he had received at that time
from Artsakh. "Which means Serge Sargsyan was present," he stated.
