"ZERKALO": ROBERT KOCHARYAN TO SPECULATE WITH "GENOCIDE OF ARMENIANS"

"Constant use of the theme of genocide of Armenians for political
purposes is immoral", declared former Minister of Foreign Affairs of
Armenia, Alexander Arzumanyan, on Friday for journalists ("Turan").
"Genocide of Armenians is our tragedy speculating with which is
immoral. Armenian authorities did nothing but declarative statements
in this field. Robert Kocharyan spoke of genocide from UN tribune.
Why did he then strive for consideration of the issue and adoption
of decisions by UN Committees", said Arzumanyan. Arzumanyan also
informed that one more demonstration involving former president,
Levon Ter-Petrosyan, will be held short before New Year. Meanwhile
opposition party "Orinaz erkir" declined proposal of Ter-Petrosyan on
uniting round him "to fight against predatory regime of the country".
Call of the first President early was declined by leader of National
and Democratic union, Vazgen Manukyan, leader of party "National
Unity", Artashes Gegamyan and leader of party "New Times", Aram
Karapetyan. However, Arzumanyan expressed optimism that "everything
is yet to come" as Ter-Petrosyan hasn't got official refusal and
"statements made by politicians are of emotional nature"
