According to the police visa and passport department press service
three candidates for the presidential elections applied for the
registration document to prove that the last ten years they lived
in Armenia.
The candidates were Raffi Hovhannisyan, the leader of "Heritage"
party, Aram Hovhannisyan, the leader of "National Agreement" party,
and Vardan Parakhchyan, a citizen. The police refused to provide
detailed information about the latter candidate.
Note that recently Armen Grigoryan, the director of the AR work
staff, refused to prolong the citizenship period of Raffi Hovhannisyan
considering that he lived in Armenia from 2001, not from 1991. We tried
to get some more information about this issue from the press secretary
of "Heritage" party Hovsep Khurshudyan, but he replied that he was
not aware of the subject and the information will be provide tomorrow.
Note that the other candidates also applied to the visa and passport
department to get their registration documents. The candidates are
the following - Levon Ter-Petrosyan, Artashes Geghamyan, Israel
Hakobkokhyan, Aram Karapetyan, and Artur Baghdasaryan.
