RA DEFENSE MINISTER MET WITH EP RAPPORTEUR ON THE SOUTH CAUCASUS

October 16 RA Defense Minister Michael Harutyunyan received the
delegation headed by Mrs. Lydie Polfer, Rapporteur on the South
Caucasus at the European Parliament.
At the beginning of the meeting the parties turned to the current
state and perspectives of development of Armenia-EU cooperation.
Michael Harutyunyan stated that the Armed Forces of the Republic of
Armenia have adopted the policy of developing cooperation with all
interested countries in the field of defense and security.
Turning to the defense reforms in Armenia, the Defense Minister said
the improvement of democratic mechanisms at RA Armed Forces proceeds
stably and within preset terms.
A number of issues concerning regional security were discussed,
as well.
