URBAN DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS IN YEREVAN TO BE COMPLETED WITHIN SCHEDULED PERIOD

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 22, NOYAN TAPAN. The urban development programs in
Yerevan are being implemented by the schedule and will be completed
within the scheduled period. The deputy mayor of Yerevan Karen Davtian
said at the October 22 press coneference that North Avenue will be
put into operation in the first ten days of November.
According to K. Davtian, despite some difficulties, such road
cosntruction work as construction of overground and underground
crossings will also be completed within the scheduled period - in
late November. In his words, unspecified underground pipelines were
found at the construction site of all crossings, which resulted
in accidents, which in their turn prevented normal motor traffic
in these sections. In particular, there were traffic jams at the
Nalbandian-Isahakian croosroads where transfer of telephone cables
was finished recently.
