PAYMENTS ENVISAGED TO BE MADE THROUGH PLASTIC CARDS IN SPHERES OF SOCIAL ASSISTANCE

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 29, NOYAN TAPAN. The issue concerning making payments
through plastic cards in a number of spheres of social assistance,
including pensions and family benefits, is being discussed in the RA
Ministry of Labour and Social Issues. According to the information
provided to a Noyan Tapan correspondent by Vahan Baghdasarian,
the Head of the Administration of Control and Social Monitoring of
the above-mentioned Ministry, that will contribute to the reduction
of corruption risks. According to him, protests are received from
citizens on the fact that illegal fund raising is being implemented
when distributing benefits and pensions.
Vahan Baghdasarian mentioned at the same time that it is necessary
to solve a number of issues in order to pass to a card payment. For
example, to teach pensioners the way how to make use of the
cards. Therefore, according to him, smooth ways for passing to that
system should be found.
