SERGE SARGSIAN: ARMENIA WILL CONTINUE TO BE GUARANTOR OF ARTSAKH PEOPLE'S SECURITY AND NKR DEVELOPMENT

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 3, NOYAN TAPAN. On the occasion of the 16th
anniversary of NKR independence, the RA Prime Minister, Serge Sargsian
sent a message to the Nagorno Karabakh people. The message provided
to Noyan Tapan by the RA government's Information and Public Relations
Department read:
"Dear compatriots,
We congratulate you on the occasion of the 16th anniversary of NKR
independence.
Today is a holiday of pride, pinning one's hopes on one's own forces
and a holiday of unity. There are cases when at one historic moment
more is done than during long decades. Golden pages of Armenian
history are being written today with facts of creation of Nagorno
Karabakh Republic.
The young republic of Nagorno Karabakh is taking steps on the
way of building statehood, development of democracy, and economic
development. The Republic of Armenia has been and will continue being
the guarantor of Artsakh people's security and NKR development.
Today we are bowing our head before the memory of all Armenians,
who created this holiday with their blood and devotion. I am sure
that independent, prosperous, and recognized Nagorno Karabakh is the
best tribute of respect to their memory.
Once more I congratulate you on the occasion of this beautiful holiday,
with the conviction that the great striving for free and democratic
life is able to overcome any challenge.
