STATE ADMINISTRATION OF TRABZON REJECTS CLAIM OF HRANT DINK'S LAWYERS ON CONDUCTING INVESTIGATION AGAINST COLLABORATORS OF SECURITY SERVICE OF STATE

TRABZON, SEPTEMBER 3, NOYAN TAPAN - ARMENIANS TODAY. The state
administration of Trabzon has rejected the claim of the lawyers of
Hrant Dink, the assasinated editor-in-chief of the weekly Agos, on
conducting an investigation against a number of collaborators of the
security service of the state.
According to the Turkish press, the state administration has not
allowed to conduct an investigation against Ramazan Akyurek and Resat
Altay, the former heads of the security service of Trabzon, Engin
Dinc, the former head of the special service, as well as the current
leader Faruk Sara, collaborators of the security service Ercan Demir,
Ozkan Mumcu, police collaborators Muhiddin Zenit and Mehmed Ayhan.
It is mentioned that in connection with the murder case of Hrant Dink
the Prosecutor's Office of Istanbul has applied to that of Trabzon
with a claim to hold an inquiry in connection with not taking necessary
measures in the direction of crime prevention on account of neglecting
in their duties against the collaborators of the security service of
the state.
