YEREVAN AND DELHI TO COOPERATE IN NUMBER OF SPHERES

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 5, NOYAN TAPAN. Yerevan and Delhi will cooperate
in the spheres of self-government, economy, science, as well as of
technics, education, culture and sport. According to the information
provided by Yervand Zakharian, the mayor of Yerevan, during his
meeting with journalists on September 4, this agreement was reached
with Sheila Dikshit, the Chief Minister of Delhi, who had arrived
in Yerevan on his invitation, during the meeting held on the same
day. It was mentioned that a memorandum of mutual understanding on
establishing friendly relations between the capitals of Armenia and
India is envisaged to be signed some time soon.
Sheila Dikshit in her turn mentioned that she and the mayor of Yerevan
have come to an agreement to cooperate in building a democratic social
system as well.
