ARZUMANYAN WAS HANDED TO RUSSIAN LAW-ENFORCEMENT BODIES

The Armenian ex-foreign minister Alexander Arzumanyan was set free on
September 6 after the investigative group was back from the Russian
    Federation.

Yesterday the investigative group submitted the material to the RA
    Prosecutor General Aghvan Hovsepyan.

Thus, our law-enforcement bodies found their work finished and turned
to their Russian counterparts for help.

As the judicial hearing can be delayed, the RA Prosecutor General
preferred to change the restraint as Arzumanyan can no longer prevent
the preliminary investigation. The preventive punishment is Alexander
Arzumanyan's signature not to leave Armenia.

To remind, Alexander Arzumanyan detained for about 4 months at the
National Security Service jail was charged with "money laundering." A
week ago the pre-investigative body appealed to the court to prolong
the arrest for two months. The court upheld the claim.
