OSKANYAN RECEIVES BARONESS COX

Today Armenian foreign minister Vardan Oskanyan received a delegation
from the British House of Lords led by Baroness Caroline Cox. We note
that the baroness took part in the September 7 inauguration ceremonies
of newly-elected president Bako Sahakyan in Karabakh.
The foreign ministry's news department thanked Baroness Cox for her
work in obtaining international recognition for Karabakh over the
years, and for the peaceful solution to the conflict.
At the request of the guests, Oskanyan told the current state of
Armenian-Turkish relations as well as Armenia's efforts concerning
international recognition of the Armenian Genocide. The delegation
from Great Britain also included House of Lords member Sir David Alton.
