WHY WAS ARZUMANYAN FREED?

Today at a question and answer session at the National Assembly with
the general prosecutor and deputies, Viktor Dallakyan wondered why
Arzumanyan had been freed, when just recently his sentence had been
extended. The prosecutor said that by listening to secret recordings
they found out that "the sum was received by nine different persons
in Armenia, after which they transferred it to another person, then
finally reaching the person of destination."
"After interrogating all these people, it became clear that none of
them had any connection to the sending or receiving of the money. The
crime has to do with the testimony of that person and those close to
him," the prosecutor said.
At that point, the investigation took place in Russia, where twice
investigation teams from Armenia journeyed.
"There, they revealed who it was that was involved in the money
transfer, and that he had used unknowing people to complete the
transfer," added Aghvan Hovsepyan, pointing out that since the
group still hasn't returned from Russia, a decision in the case
was impossible.
"We then presented the case to the court, which came to a legal
decision," he continued, adding that when the group returns from
Moscow, he will personally look into the case.
