PRESIDENT KOCHARYAN TO PAY A NUMBER OF OFFICIAL VISITS BY YEAREND

September 15 RA President Robert Kocharyan will leave for a one-day
non-official friendly visit to Batumi at the invitation of his Georgian
counterpart Mikhail Saakashvili.
RA Presidentï~^'s Spokesman Viktor Soghomonyan said today that the
leaders of the two countries will discuss a whole spectrum of questions
of Armenian-Georgian relations. Among others, the two Presidents will
refer to the problems of Javakhk.
According to Viktor Soghomonyan, in the first decade of October, Robert
Kocharyan will participate in the recurrent summit of Presidents of
the CIS member states in Dushanbe. In the same city, RA President will
take part in the summits of the Collective Security Treaty Organization
(CSTO) and the Eurasian Economic Union (EvAzES).
October 10-13 the Armenian President will pay a traditional visit
to Brussels, where he will meet with representatives of European
structures.
At the invitation of Finland's President Tarja Halonen, Mr. Kocharyan
will pay an official visit to Finland in the first decade of November.
The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mahmoud Ahmadinejad
is expected to visit Armenia by yearend. Other official visits to
Armenia are also expected, but the terms have not been fixed so far.
