Catholicos receives executive committee secretary
On September 23-28, on the invitation of Catholicos of
all Armenians Garegin II, the regular meeting of the
executive committee of the international churches will
take place. The Eastern Diocese of the Armenian
Apostolic Church in North America is represented by
Bishop Viken Aykazyan. On September 21, the Catholicos
received the secretary of the committee, Dr. Samuel
Kobia, welcoming him to Holy Etchmiadzin. The
secretary then thanked the Catholicos for the
invitation and his assistance in the work of the
committee and the ecumenical movement in general,
especially for the efforts of Armenian priests and
church leaders in helping different structures and
committees. During the meetig Dr. Kobia went over
subjects to be discussed at the meeting, including the
purposes of committee programs.
