20-YEAR-OLD GIRL COMMITS SUICIDE ATTEMPT ON BROTHER'S PARTY

On Thursday Saralanj village resident Anahit Aleksanyan committed a
suicide attempt while the family was celebrating her brother's draft to
military service, the village residents informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The girl suffered from an incurable disease called "Yerevan disease"
and took 30 pills of Colostin instead of 1. She was transferred to
Artik hospital. The patient was transferred to hospital on Thursday,
while she took the medicine on the day before, the director of hospital
Yura Ghazoyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am reporter and added, the lab
analyses revealed damage of liver, but her life was no more in danger.

"Anahit does not have a father, he left for Russia and never came
back. Their family is large and her brother was not physically
qualified for military service due to health problems, this time also
he was sent back from the Central Collecting Depot", said the mayor.

As Armenian News-NEWS.am informed earlier, drug poisoning case occurred
in Shirak region on Thursday. Saralanj village resident Anahit
Aleksanyan was transferred to hospital, the Ministry of Emergency
Situations (MES) informed. The girl is in average critical condition.
