QUAKE RATTLES NEARBY ARMENIA'S ARMAVIR

YEREVAN. - The National Seismic Protection Service of Armenia's
Ministry of Emergency Situations recorded, on Monday at 3:11pm, a
2.5-magnitude earthquake, whose epicenter was located 15 kilometers
north of Armavir city in the country's Armavir Region.

The tremor measured magnitude 3 at the epicenter area, and its
hypocenter was ten kilometers beneath the surface.

The seismic activity was also felt in the aforesaid region's Metsamor
city, where it measured magnitude 2-3.
