    Top Armenian grandmaster Levon Aronian, playing with white pieces,
    ended his third round game at the Grand Slam's 6th tournament (Final
    Masters 2013) in Bilbao, Spain, against British rival Michael Adams
    in a draw.

    Aronian's two previous games against France's Maxime Vachier-Lagrave
    and Azerbaijna's Shakhriyar Memedyarov also ended in draws.

    In the other pair on Day 3 of the competition Vachier-Lagrave beat
    Shakhriyar Mamedyarov.

    In the current standings at the four-man tournament Adams is the
    leader with 5 points, followed by Vachier-Lagrave (4 points). Aronian
    is third with 3 points, a point ahead of Mamedyarov.

    According to the rules at the Bilbao competition, 3 points are awarded
    for a win and 1 point for a draw, with no points received for a loss.

    The round-robin tournament continues today with Aronian (with black
    pieces) playing against Vachier-Lagrave and Mamedyarov taking on Adams.
